ABOUT ME
I am Kelly, a speech pathologist who recently joined Core Physical Therapy in 2022 to provide speech and language services to both pediatric and adult populations. When I made the decision to join Core Physical Therapy, it was with the goal of fulfilling a need for speech pathology services in Fort Wayne.
When I'm not working, I enjoy spending time with my husband, children, and dog. We love going on walks and exploring the outdoors. I also have a passion for cooking, reading, and DIY projects. I find these activities help me recharge and bring a sense of balance to my life.
EXPERIENCE
I am a licensed and nationally certified speech-language pathologist with over 20 years of experience working with both children and adults in a variety of settings. My clinical experience includes providing early intervention, acute care, outpatient therapy, home health, and nursing home services. Throughout my career, I have developed expertise in a wide range of speech, language, cognitive, voice, and swallowing disorders. I am skilled in providing evidence-based evaluations and treatments tailored to the specific needs of each individual patient.
As a dedicated professional, I am committed to staying up-to-date with the latest research and clinical techniques in the field of speech therapy. I regularly attend professional development opportunities to further enhance my skills and knowledge, and I am passionate about providing the highest level of care to my patients.
EDUCATION
I hold a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Toledo, where I received specialized training in the diagnosis and treatment of communication disorders in both adults and children. I also hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and am licensed to practice in the state of Indiana.
I am dedicated to continuing education and staying up-to-date with the latest research and techniques to provide the best care possible to my patients.
